Ministry
Partners

Newton Church of The Way is a part of Christ's Church and we believe it's important to partner with organizations in the Global Church that are being the hands and feet of Jesus around the world. Partnership looks different to each organization, but can include: financial giving, mission work, volunteers, item donations, and / or any other needs the organization has. Join us in praying for our partners to spread the gospel and share the love of Jesus Christ with those they are ministering to. - Pastor Aaron Groves, Outreach Coordinator
10-42 Project - First Responder Trauma Help
The 10-42 Project is a faith-based resource and refuge organization dedicated to supporting first responders. We equip individuals with essential mental health tools, restore hope during times of crisis, and guide people toward a renewed purpose through the everlasting love of Jesus. The 10-42 Project was started by Daniel Defenbaugh, a medically retired police officer from small-town Iowa, who has faced the darkest corners of life. Struggling with his mental health, PTSD, and the weight of his job, he turned to alcohol and pain pills, leading to multiple suicide attempts. But in his lowest moment, Daniel had an encounter with Jesus that transformed his life. Now a devoted follower of Christ, husband, and father of five, he has dedicated himself to helping other first responders who are battling similar challenges. As the founder of 10-42 Project, Daniel’s mission is to ensure that no one walks alone. He offers a message of hope, proclaiming, “No Guilt, No Shame, No Judgment—Come as You Are.”
